Rock Climbing El Escalon, Guadalajara

El Escalon is a traditional climbing area located 45 minutes from the North side of Guadalajara City.

The routes at El Escalon are from 10-30 meters high and are mostly trad. The grades range from completely moderate 5.5 to 5.13 for the seasoned climber. El Escalon is great for beginners learning to climb as well as expert crack climbers testing their skills.

The easier volcanic rock climbs have lots of face holds with opportunity for those looking to learn to be able to practice small fingers, hands, fists, off-width and squeeze chimneys.

El Escalon is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to get out and climb while in Guadalajara.
